Hedhome indexes and categorizes over 40,000 continuing education courses from more than 50 of Canada’s leading post-secondary institutions and then makes the data available in a series of interactive Portfolio Analysis dashboards.
Use Portfolio Analysis in two ways. First, you can instantly generate competitive market scans for use within formal business case presentations, or during ad-hoc conversations with stakeholders when assessing new programming opportunities. Second, use the dashboards to identify gaps within your course portfolio and build new product roadmaps for your area of responsibility, your faculty, or your institution..
The competitive landscape compares your portfolio to the portfolios of institutions within your local market. Use this to validate areas in which you believe your institution has a strong portfolio and to identify categories to investigate further.
Compare your portfolio to other portfolios to uncover areas in which your peers have courses, but your institution doesn't, and areas that appear nationally but not locally. As you identify these portfolio gaps, simply add them to your product roadmap.
The category summary shows who is offering courses and where, so you can identify whether peer participation in the category is uniform across regions, or specific to geographic markets. You can also see the institutions in your peer group that have courses in the category and how many courses they have. Use this to confirm whether to keep the category on your product roadmap.
See the list of courses offered by your peers in the category and understand the details of what is being taught, and how each course is priced and delivered. Use this to identify specific course titles you may consider adding to your portfolio, how to bundle titles into programs, and to get started on program design.
